Hugyfot-Subtronic HST3000 Underwater Flash.
Enquiries made a few years ago indicated that official engineering
information on the HST 3000 is lost or unavailable. The information
given here is reverse-engineered from an actual strobe.
The HST 3000 is TTL flash compatible with the Nikonos V and the
Pentax LX. In Nikon mode, SP is not used, and the SP line is
terminated in 6.8K. In LX mode, the SP terminal is used for the
positive going LX quench signal. The X terminal becomes the charger
input terminal in Laden (Charge) mode. The 'Akku Laden' (Battery
charge) LED doubles as the 'flash ready' lamp.
Semiconductor details were found in the Mullard Quick Reference
Guide, 1988.
